Collecting and organizing graphical Resources (especially Textures) is in some ways a passion of me.
I want to share the best Sites i know were you can get free resources for your creations.

CGTextures

The best Site i personally know for high quality photographic Textures. Some nice tutorials could be found there too. (Free Account is limited to 15 mb download and low Res tiled Textures)

PlainTextures

Some nice photographic Texture Stuff - not as big as CGTextures - but some are really good. (Free Account is limited to 10 Downloads/day and mostly low Res)

CGShare

A lot (!) of 3D Stuff for various Applications. Textures and 2D Stuff too. (Free Account, no limitations, license restrictions vary by user uploads)

Texturemate

Textures, Patterns, Brushes and a very usefull Software called ABRmate (Brushpreview, -organization)

Open Clipart

Free Vector Graphic libary (2GB), mostly in .svg format. (no Account needed)

Mayang Free Textures

About 4k (7.5GB) Textures in high Res. (no Account needed, download/day limited by IP - but its pretty much; no tiled/seemless Textures)

dafont

19.000 Fonts, Search Tools, Categories (no Account needed)

Spiralgraphics

Computer generated Textures. Very nice software to generate own Textures/customize the Presets. (Free unlimited Version with some customization options avaible, Free and unrestricted download of premade Textures, free full functional 30-day Trial of the Beta Software Version 4.0)

Public Domain Image

High Res Images without any license restrictions. (no account needed)
